Scaffolding and Integrated Assessment

Teachers provide timely support that guides students without removing the challenge. This support - or “scaffolding”- is gradually withdrawn as students gain competence and confidence.

Integrated assessment ensures that learning and evaluation go hand-in-hand. Feedback is embedded throughout the learning process, enabling students to adjust, iterate, and work towards a well-developed final product.

Example: A teacher initially offers step-by-step guidance and then gradually steps back as students take the lead.
